Jane Bruce

Jane is an independent artist and educator based in New York City. Jane has always maintained the paired careers of maker and teacher. She teaches and exhibits internationally and her dual careers have taken her around the world, from England to the USA, to Australia and back again to the USA. Jane was born in England and received a Masters of Art degree from the Royal College of Art, London, before relocating to the US to undertake further study at the NYS College of Ceramics at Alfred. Jane currently creates her work and teaches at UrbanGlass.

Value Added Glassware came about through an interest in mark making and found functional glassware. The found glassware is enhanced by sandblasting, diamond wheel engraving, and painting.
